Before Maryland: 2013 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year...2013 McDonald’s All-American...earned Big Ben Player of the Year (Tallahassee) as a senior...ranked No. 19 overall by ESPN HoopGurlz and No. 3 at the wing position...played her first three years of prep basketball at Miami’s Dr. Micheal Krop High School, leading the Lightning to the Class 8A state final in 2012 and the 6A state semifinals in 2011...was Player of the Year for Miami-Dade as a sophomore and junior, also earned all-Dade honors those two season...transferred to Florida State High School for her senior season where she played for adopted mother Kimberly Davis-Powell, led the Seminoles to a 22-7 record ...averaged 25 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 5.0 steals a game as a senior...at Baylor, saw action in 65 games, averaging 11.4 minuts, 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds per game...was voted Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2013. 

Personal: Ieshia Diamond Small...adopted daughter of Kelvin Powell and Kimberly Davis-Powell of Tallahassee, Fla....birth parents are both deceased; father died when she was 13 and mother, Michelle, passed in March 2011...has a younger brother, Marvin and a step-brother Hakim Neely-Sabir...chose Maryland because the teammates were accepting and Coach Frese was a “player’s coach"...graduated with communications degree.
